James 1:27 Challenge
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27 NLT.
“As the son of missionaries, growing up on an orphanage, I saw first hand the devestating effects of abandonment, neglect and abuse in the lives and hearts of my friends and playmates. Today, following and serving Christ as an attorney, advocate and counselor means putting the words of James into action in my daily practice. This can be devilishly difficult in today’s adversarial legal world. Our everyday world, invaded by brokenness and pain, is in desperate need of the one true Healer and Advocate. As a forgiven sinner, I can never repay my debt, but I am free now to love God and my fellow brothers and sisters in need. See Luke 7:42. For me, this means living the James 1:27 challenge as a humble servant by helping the needy, neglected, abused and downtrodden for His Glory!” Tad W., Forgiven Sinner
